Trend observation: The lumberjack look

This months trend report is based on the combination of denim and flannel, the urban lumberjack look . The lumberjack look has been around for ages now, constantly being re-invented each season , but this time the look is here to stay.After the recent hipster movement making its mark in the world of pop culture the vintage lumberjack look was one of the trends that caught on.
The lumberjack look has been seen in both winter season and recently summer , with each season featuring both flannel and denim but executed and styled in different ways.
Summer 2010/2011 saw the use of denim in self made denim shorts .Flannel was implemented in button down shirts. The lumber jack look not being complete without a choice in boots, was a look to be reckoned with and still is today.
Winter 2011 saw the lumberjack look being re-invented and combined with the military look. New York Fashion week fall\Winter 2011 featured key items such as military boots, flannel jackets lined with fur and of course an assortment of denim jeans in men's fashion shows
